The TreeHouse KP

Originally conceived as part of a series of small holiday home designs, our two bedroom house was designed to be efficient with space while still providing a feeling of openness and comfort.  The living area connects directly to shaded outdoor areas through nearly 6m of folding glazed doors, allowing for a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Strategically places windows and doors allow for cross ventilation, and deep overhangs and sunshades help to keep the house cool, reducing the need for air conditioning.  A solar assisted water heater and solar panel back-up system helps us to further reduce our energy use, and a rainwater collection system reduces our reliance on Koh Phangan's local water utilities.
